She stares at the wall it resembles her life,
Blank but for cracks, where the demons climb through.
Night terrors reign in fairy tales dreamed,
Darkness is Lord
no life breathed anew.
Do you see?
Do you dream?
Would you shame them aloud?
Or smile with indifference where words fear to tread.
The sins of the shameless accepted by all,
Truth hiding in shadows
hope living in dread.
Memories lay deep in the depths of her soul,
Fearful of rising and banishing fate,
Naivety governs life day after day
Freedom held captive
by those who dictate.

Intriguing.
I’ve read most of your work here and think, “Yeah! A new poet to read!” I’m liking it all. Nicely done.
