Various Lyrics

Lost Soul

Storm clouds are coming,

I head for home.

Rain on my shoulder,

Days I have roamed.

 Desolate streets wandered,

Voices unheard.

Days spent in silence,

Lessons unlearned.

And I still… search for you

Walking lonely, looking for

The road that leads to you.

And still I search for you,

Fearing nothing, feeling nothing

Coming home to you.

home to you…

Shadows I’m chasing,

Ghosts from before.

Rain keeps on falling,

Feelings  no more.

 Cold heart of strangers,

Passing me by.

Wanting unknowing,

Living their lie.

And I still… search for you

Walking lonely, looking for

The road that leads to you.

And I still… search for you

 Fearing nothing, feeling nothing

Coming home to you.

(Instrumental)

 Wake me I’m dreaming

Nightmares come true

.. feeling lonely..

..losing you…

..wanting only..

..loving you..

..needing you..

  1. this reminds me of the feeling in a Portishead song- “The Rip”:
As she walks in the room,
    Scented and tall,
    Hesitating once more.
And as I take on myself,
    And the bitterness I felt,
    Realise that love lost, while
    White horses,
    They will take me away,
    And the tenderness I feel,
    Will send the dark underneath,
    Will I follow?

    Through the glory of life,
    I’m scattered on the floor,
    Disappointed and sore.
And in my thoughts I have bled,
For the riddles I’ve been fed,
    Another lie moves over, while
    White horses,
    They will take me away,
    And the tenderness I feel,
    Will send the dark underneath,
    Will I follow?

    While, white horses,
    They will take me away,
    And the tenderness I feel,
    Will send the dark underneath,
    Will I follow?

    Portishead 2007

  2. I shall take that as a compliment, although I don’t know the Portishead song you mention….Thanks again for reading Eric ..much appreciated xxx

  3. Hello and Thankyou Shaun
A lot of what I write musically/chord wise is done by ear and memory as I can’t actually read or write music. Have been teaching myself guitar for about 2 years and just decided to tweak some of my poetry and turn them into songs.
Will definitely check out your site..Take Care :O)
