this reminds me of the feeling in a Portishead song- “The Rip”:

A lot of what I write musically/chord wise is done by ear and memory as I can’t actually read or write music. Have been teaching myself guitar for about 2 years and just decided to tweak some of my poetry and turn them into songs.
