Walking the monopoly board
Familiar signs at every turn
Childish excitement Unhidden for all to see
But I’m a nobody here
Just one of many
It’s everyday life for you
Everyday sights for you
For me it’s a dream come true.
A taxi beeps, a bus roars by
Another station to who knows where
Dark deep tunnels
Stuffy no air
Keep to the right
The rules to be followed
Rules I don’t live by
Today I must live by
….and mind the gap lest you fall.
