You were supposed to love me forever
but reduced it to moments with no reason ever given.
You were supposed to be proud of the obstacles I overcame
but instead belittled each achievement with disgust.
You were supposed to protect me from those who caused harm.
instead you encouraged them in their deeds of destruction.
You were supposed to be my mother

I feel like I can really relate to this poem.
Great job.
Can understand your feelings angel eyes
Very clean direct poem that cuts right to it. Yet it still feels like a twist in the end. That’s, I guess, why it feels a surprise–you think you know where this is going.
Nice work.

BTW–this is also very sad. Maybe it’s the saddest thing of all.
