Tales from a Life Inbetween

Closed Heart

What visions are seen through those cynical eyes?
With beauty so rare, yet so tainted by doubt.
How long will tomorrow hide yesterdays pain.
Sweet lady release that lost love crying out.

What truths do you hear, allow into your heart?
As you shut out the world with such eloquent ease.
The power is yours, yet refusal’s your way
As you take hold of man bring him down to his knees.

What words can explain such a fire in your soul?
A fire that engulfs all that pass by your way.
For mercy he begs as you toss him aside.
With no feeling you smile, before turning away.
